Research Focus:

  1. Strategies and technologies to reduce counterfeit, falsified and substandard products as well as thefts and adulteration of products along the supply chain from materiel to the consumer. Most of these risks are caused by antagonists. Special focus on combating counterfeit medicine that kills up to 1 million per year. Se www.seclog.com regarding technologies for mitigation.
  2. Intelligent Access and Control of road vehicles to the infrastructure. The system uses already installed GPS boxes and fleet management in the private sector for governmental services regarding infrastructure access, vehicle monitoring and enforcement traffic violations. First application in Sweden is to control that the heaviest truck class only uses the road types they are allowed for and not overloaded. Application to other uses cases are under development, e.g. preventing vehicles to enter walking zones (vehicle slows down to 5 km/h, was triggered by the last years terrorist attacks), access to environmental zones (some diesel engines are forbidden there), monitoring oversized vehicles on special permit, platooning, road use charging based on actual road wear and congestion, weight control according to EU 96/53 being mandated by 2021, dangerous goods, cabotage rules, and electrical roads.
